Principal Engineer at Velico Medical

Bob serves Velico as Principal Engineer and plays a critical role in the design, development, and production of the disposables required to support the spray drying system. He has more than 35 years in medical device product development and manufacturing.

Bob’s competencies include interventional cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, neurology, endoscopy, imaging systems, blood processing systems, urology, and diagnostic systems.

His work includes CO2 lasers, catheters, blood collection systems, diagnostic devices, optical instruments, capital equipment, and a wide array of disposables and consumables.

Bob is the CEO of Navigate Medical Development™, LLC. Bob’s experience includes serving as Vice President of Business Development for Optimum Technologies, Medical Division Manager for QinetiQ North America (Foster-Miller), Director of Product Development for PLC Medical Systems, Manager of Disposables Development for St. Jude Medical, and Manager of Plastics Research and Development for Instrumentation Laboratory.

Bob holds BS and MS degrees in Plastics Engineering from U Mass Lowell, and an MBA from Bryant University. He has 20 issued U.S. Patents.
