Clair Strohl

Clair serves Velico as its Vice President & Technical Liaison overseeing, problem-solving, and advising the team on a wide range of product development activities. He has over 40 years of experience managing the development and documentation of innovative medical devices for regulatory submission and launches in the U.S. and worldwide markets.

Clair’s expertise includes disposable product engineering design, manufacturing process development, FMEA, packaging, prototype testing, pilot manufacturing, technology transfer, human studies, and customer training.

Products include implantable cardiac assist devices, blood processing disposables, urological systems, ostomy, and vascular access devices, and radiological accessories.

He is the Vice President of Product Development at Navigate Medical Development™, LLC. Clair has held management positions in C.R. Bard, Haemonetics, Abbott Laboratories, and the Kontron division of Arrow. He has authored several technical papers, is a Registered Professional Engineer and has several issued U. S. medical device patents.

Clair holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago.
