Marc Couturier

Marc Couturier has extensive work experience in business development. From 2010 to present (with Toyota Tsusho Canada Inc.), they served as the General Manager of New Business Development. Some of their notable achievements include negotiating over $1.3 billion worth of off-take agreements for Canadian Wood Pellets to Japan and closing a $600 million deal for natural gas-drilling/extraction in Alberta. Currently, Marc is seconded to Velocia, a mobility start-up in which Toyota Tsusho Canada Inc. has invested. As the Head of New Business Development, they are working with the Velocia CEO on channel partner growth and expanding business to new cities.

Marc Couturier has a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto. Marc also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance from the Schulich School of Business at York University. Additionally, they have obtained the Professional Engineer Ontario certification from the Professional Engineers Ontario institution.
