Joseph Sommer

Joseph Sommer is an experienced software engineer with a solid background in full stack development and DevOps. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Velocity Automotive Solutions since June 2021, Joseph designs, develops, and tests features using Java with Spring and React, while coordinating feature deployments with data and DevOps teams. Previously, Joseph worked at Torch Technologies, Inc. as a Software Engineer II, contributing to the development of virtual trainers and acting as a scrum master. Additionally, experience includes a role as a Junior Software Engineer at Leidos, where support was provided for autonomous maritime systems, and prior internships at Leidos and the Naval Postgraduate School, where skills in software development and data analysis were honed. Joseph holds a Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering from Mississippi State University.
