Sune Westphalen

Sune Westphalen has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Sune is currently working at Capital One as the Senior Director of Software Engineering for Velocity Black. Sune played a significant role in building the product and is excited to continue working on it after the company's acquisition. Prior to their current role, Sune held the position of Vice President of Engineering at Velocity Black, where they were responsible for hiring top-talent engineers and using the latest technologies to scale the company globally. Sune also served as the Head of Engineering and Senior Backend Developer at Velocity Black. Before that, Sune worked as the Principal Software Architect at Westphalen Consulting from 2015 to 2018. Sune was the CTO at Blanye from 2011 to 2015 and the Lead Technical Product Manager at NewHow from 2011 to 2013. Sune began their career as a Freelance Solutions Architect, working on various projects from 2007 to 2011.

Sune Westphalen began their education journey in 2010 at Odense Tekniske Gymnasium, where they pursued the Higher Technical Examination Programme. Sune completed this program in 2013, with a focus on Communication/IT A and English A.

In 2014, Sune enrolled at Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark, where they studied Welfare Technology. This education lasted until 2015, although the specific degree obtained is not mentioned.
