Shanika Ekanayake

Shanika Ekanayake is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in commercial leadership and strategic roles across various industries. Currently serving as the Chief Commercial Officer at Velocity Frequent Flyer since August 2025, Shanika previously held the position of GM SME at Virgin Australia from September 2021 to August 2025. Prior to that, Shanika was with Bellamy's Organic, contributing as GM Strategy and Supply Chain, Head of Strategy and Supply, and Commercial Manager from September 2017 to September 2021. Shanika began professional career at Bain & Company, where roles included Consultant and Senior Associate Consultant from February 2013 to September 2017, and previously worked as a Structural Engineer at KBR. Educationally, Shanika graduated as Dux of Ivanhoe Grammar School with a VCE ENTER of 99.60 and holds dual degrees in Engineering and Law from Monash University.
