Aura Maria Sarmiento Torres

Aura Maria Sarmiento Torres has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Aura Maria is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of Velocity-x, a position they have held since January 2021. Prior to this, they co-founded and served as a Subway Franchisee at SOF Colombia starting in May 2018. In 2019, they co-founded Cocinas Virtuales, where they continued their entrepreneurial journey until January 2023. Aura Maria also co-founded and served as the CEO of Grupo Marsar from September 2015 to May 2018. Before venturing into entrepreneurship, they worked at IDEMIA as the Gerente territorio Banca from August 2011 to September 2015. Aura Maria's earlier experiences include working at Carvajal Tecnología y Servicios, where they served as the Jefe producción, leading a team of 140 people in production and handling production scheduling. Aura Maria also worked as an Ingeniera Competitividad from December 2006 to January 2009 in the same company.

Aura Maria Sarmiento Torres has an extensive education history. Aura Maria completed their Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in 2007. Aura Maria then pursued a specialization in Engineering Management Systems with a focus on Projects from the same university, which they completed in 2011. In 2017, Aura achieved a Diploma in Strategic Marketing from CESA. Recently, in 2022, Aura participated in the Latitud Fellow Build 0 cohort program at Latitud, where they studied Entrepreneurship. Additionally, they have plans to pursue further education in Entrepreneurship with the "Scale up" program at Endeavor in 2023.
