Marco Rico

Marco Rico is the current Head of Maintenance & Managed Services at Velocix. Prior to this, they served as the Video Business Development Director | Systems Integration Video Business Development Director at Nokia from January 2017 to December 2018. In this role, they were responsible for key portfolios such as Video Pipe and Video Networks (CDN, CloudDVR), OTT, IPTV and DVB Networks, Cloud and As a Service Solutions, Cloud Video Platforms, and Video Systems Integration.

During their time at Nokia, Marco was responsible for leading the overall commercial and technical discussion for a major service provider that resulted in a contract win. Marco also attained a major project for cloud solutions in multiple countries, as well as numerous smaller projects. Furthermore, they successfully increased year-over-year revenue from new and existing customers by implementing effective sales strategies.

Marco Rico started their educational career by getting a certification from the ACTP program by the Activision CIEO program. Marco then went on to get their post-graduate degree in management and business consulting from Instituto Superior de Gestão. Lastly, they got their licentiate degree in electronics and telecommunications from Universidade de Coimbra.

Marco Rico reports to Anthony Berkeley, CEO. They are on a team with Miriam Lamburn - Finance Director, Jim Brickmeier - Chief Marketing & Product Officer, and Orquidea Almeida - Head of Professional Services.
