George A. Buchanan is a seasoned professional in contract management and commercial operations with extensive experience in the healthcare technology sector. Currently serving as Senior Director of Contract Management at Velsera since January 2023, Buchanan previously held the position of Vice President of Commercial Transactions at Pierian, where responsibilities included managing global commercial transactions, risk management, and advising executive management on legal and business risks. Prior to that, Buchanan spent nearly three decades at Sunquest Information Systems, progressing from Manager of Purchasing & Distribution to Vice President of Global Commercial Operations, overseeing customer contract negotiations, commercial deal structuring, and supplier relationship management.
