Nathan Baird

Nathan Baird, PhD, currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Product Strategy at Velsera, a position held since February 2023. Prior to this role, Nathan was involved with Illumina from November 2014 to February 2023, where responsibilities included managing product development roadmaps in portfolio strategy, leading valuation modeling for strategic finance, and serving as the technical lead for the development of transplant genomics products. Nathan began academic research as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at UC Berkeley from January 2009 to September 2014 and holds a PhD in Molecular Genetics and Genomics from the University of Oregon, obtained in 2008, along with a Bachelor's degree in Sports Medicine from Pepperdine University, completed in 2002.
