Mariëtta obtained a Bachelor's degree (Cum laude) in Marketing Management from Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen (HAN) in the years 2003 to 2006. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in International Business Communication from Radboud University, which they completed in the years 2006 to 2007.

In 2016, Mariëtta attended INSEAD, where they focused on Business Strategy & Financial Acumen. Mariëtta also obtained a certificate in Management Essentials from Harvard Business School Online in 2020.

Mariëtta is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Essex, with an expected completion date in 2024.
