Jennifer Lee is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technology and operations. As the Cofounder and COO of Velvetwire since 2009, Jennifer has contributed to developing an innovative IoT sensor platform for monitoring asset and machine health. Previously, Jennifer owned and managed operations for SailMandalay from 2000 to 2008, orchestrating logistics for blue water sailing adventures. Jennifer also served as the Director of Product Development at Motorola from 1998 to 2000, where leadership in product design for GSM and CDMA smartphones resulted in patents now owned by Google. As a Founding Member and Director of Product Development at Starfish Technologies from 1992 to 1998, Jennifer played a key role in integrating wireline and wireless technologies, securing multiple patents. Earlier in Jennifer's career, program management at the National Research Council of the National Academy of Sciences focused on science and technology initiatives in developing countries. Jennifer holds a BA in Economics and Architecture from The University of Texas at Austin.
