Joe Nowak

Senior Staff Systems Engineer at Vencore, Inc.

Joe Nowak has extensive experience in systems engineering and integration. Joe started their career in 1993 as a Principal Program Manager and Senior Engineer at EO-IR Measurements, Inc., where they supervised a team and led the development of a battlefield scouting vehicle. In 1994, they became a subcontractor for Geodynamics, which merged into Logicon and then TASC, all under Lockheed Martin. During this time, Joe served as a Senior Staff Systems Engineer, providing project and IPT leadership for the verification, validation, and transition of national systems. In 2010, they joined The SI Organization, Inc. (later renamed Vencore) as a Senior Staff Systems Engineer, continuing their work in systems engineering and integration. Joe then transitioned to Vencore Inc. in 2014, where they held the position of Senior Staff Systems Engineer. In this role, Joe provided project leadership across a range of systems engineering and integration disciplines for large, distributed national systems.

Joe Nowak completed their Bachelor of Science degree in English from the United States Naval Academy from 1976 to 1980. From 1988 to 1993, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech. Lastly, from 2010 to 2014, they attended The George Washington University to earn their Doctor of Philosophy in Systems Engineering.
