Melissa Pitera has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and sectors. Melissa worked as a Senior Business Systems Analyst at Vencore Inc. from May 2013 onwards, where they developed and implemented programs of national significance with extensive interrelated programs in various agencies, private sector, industry, and academia. Melissa also directed resource allocation and analyzed current and proposed business and financial programs.
In 2013, Melissa volunteered at the Washington Junior League, contributing their time and efforts to support various causes and initiatives.
Prior to that, Melissa served as a Senior Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton from October 2011 to May 2013. In this role, they provided science and technology assessment to the Human, Social, Cultural and Behavioral (HSCB) sciences, coordinating interagency efforts and assessing emerging trends to align with warfighter needs.
Before joining Booz Allen Hamilton, they worked briefly as a Program Analyst at MCR, LLC from June 2011 to September 2011. Melissa also held the role of Brand Manager at Giorgio Armani from February 2011 to June 2011.
In 2011, Melissa had an internship at the U.S. Department of Commerce, gaining valuable experience and insights into the functions of the department.
In addition, Melissa served as an Assistant Director at the Lake Orion Chamber of Commerce from June 2010 to October 2010. In this role, they implemented a database system to generate projected growth for local donors, advocated for the interests of local businesses, and prepared meeting outlines to promote local growth.
Melissa Pitera completed their Bachelor of Science degree in International Business at Oakland University in 2006. Melissa then pursued their Masters degree in International Business at Central Michigan University from 2007 to 2009.
