Marcelo Canovas has a diverse range of work experience. Marcelo is currently the Co-Founder and COO of Vendah, a position they have held since January 2021. Prior to that, from June 2016 to November 2020, Marcelo was the Co-founder of Liv Up, a direct-to-consumer healthy food startup. In this role, they were responsible for acquisition, retention, CXM, and digital product development. Marcelo played a key role in scaling the business while maintaining high quality and economic efficiency through technology.
Before Liv Up, Marcelo co-founded UseBike in June 2015, an app for urban cyclists that focused on safety and collaboration between cyclists and businesses. From January 2014 to June 2016, Marcelo worked as an entrepreneur at Hatchr, a company that provided CTO/CPO services for startups, scale-ups, and entrepreneurs. Marcelo led a multidisciplinary team in developing and shipping apps and websites through iterative processes.
Marcelo also gained valuable experience through an internship in business development at Rocket Internet GmbH from April 2013 to October 2013. Prior to that, they worked as an undergraduate researcher at Escola Politécnica da USP from December 2012 to March 2013.

Marcelo Canovas obtained their undergraduate degree in Production Engineering from USP - Universidade de São Paulo in the years 2009 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, they also received a certification in the 2018 Fall Growth Series from Reforge in November 2018.
