Vineet Nayyar

Vineet Nayyar is an advisor at Vendekin and a business executive with over three decades of experience in the energy sector. Vineet has held various positions at notable organizations, including the founding and managing director of Perot Systems India and chairman and managing director of Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL).

Nayyar's career began at The World Bank in 1978, where they eventually became the chief and head of the energy department for East Asia and the Pacific. In 1986, they left the World Bank to become the chairman and managing director of GAIL. As the founding chairman of GAIL, Nayyar was responsible for setting up the HBJ pipeline, gas fractionation plants, and the establishment of Auriya gas-based petrochemical plant.

In 1996, Nayyar founded HPS with an initial capital of $4 million. Last year, HCL shares were purchased by Perot Systems on a company valuation of around $250 million. Currently, the company is conservatively valued at $400 million.
