Babar Ali

Babar Ali has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Babar currently serves as the VP of Finance at Venice Music, a VC-backed tech and music company specializing in independent artists. In this role, they oversee finance operations and leads special projects.

Prior to their current position, Babar co-founded and served as the Managing Director of Rainier American Mask Company (RAMCO). Babar also co-founded Seattle Hemp Company, the nation's first hemp-focused distribution company, where they served as a Co-Founder and catered to both B2B and B2C clients.

Babar has also held significant positions at well-established companies. Babar worked at Wayfair as the Head of Pricing, Strategy, & Profitability for Textiles, Casegoods & Youth. Babar was responsible for devising pricing strategies and enhancing profitability.

At Liberty Mutual Insurance, Babar held multiple roles, including Senior Director & East Field Manager, Director II - International Centers of Excellence, Director - Strategy & Innovation Consulting, Manager - Distribution Strategy & Innovation Consulting, and Manager/Supervising Financial Analyst. During their tenure, they handled various finance responsibilities, such as financial reporting, investor materials preparation, and expense planning. Babar also established the first internal Competitive & Market Intelligence group and managed a team of 5.

Earlier in their career, Babar worked as a Financial Analyst at Safeco and as a Start-up Business Consultant at Ronald A. Peterson Law Clinic. Babar also served as a Fellow at Impak and as an International Elections Observer for the Government of Kashmir.

Babar began their professional journey as a Claims Adjuster at Allstate Insurance.

Babar Ali's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Washington, which they obtained from 2000 to 2004. Later, from 2006 to 2008, Babar pursued an MBA degree in International Business and Finance at Seattle University. Babar then went on to attend Harvard University, where they completed a Master of Arts degree in Finance from 2013 to 2017.
