Shop Manager at Venissimo Cheese

Sarah Tovar has held a variety of positions since 2013. Sarah began their career as an Associate Trainer at Panera Bread, where they were certified in dining room, barista, and working on the line. Sarah was able to successfully complete 300+ orders in one night, including takeout and catering, and was able to train all new employees on the line. In 2015, they moved to The Marine Room as a Line Cook, where they were able to successfully sauce and garnish plates according to the restaurant's regulations, as well as successfully complete 300+ plates in one night and prep and plate for large VIP parties. In 2017, Sarah joined Venissimo Cheese as a Shop Manager and Cheese Monger. In their role, they sold artisan cheeses, created beautiful party platters, catered events, taught classes, managed the marketing and social media, and wrote the monthly newsletter. Sarah also started a signature line of products that they made in house and sold in all four of the shop's locations. In addition, they were made Manager of Marketing.

Sarah Tovar has a Master of Science in Hospitality Administration/Management from Johnson & Wales University, which they completed in 2018. Sarah also has an Associate of Science in Baking and Pastry Arts/Baker/Pastry Chef from The Art Institutes, which they completed in 2017. In addition, they have a Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Management from The Art Institutes, which they completed in 2016.
