Eugene Chew

Eugene joined Venrock in 2015 and brings over twenty-two years of diverse and global accounting, finance and tax experience to Venrock’s Finance Team. He is primarily responsible for executing budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, and tax initiatives across Venrock’s Management Companies. Prior to joining Venrock, Eugene worked as a Senior Accounting Manager with Cypress Financial Corporation, where he was responsible for the Cypress Leasing Group of Funds’ accounting and finance matters. Eugene started his professional career in public accounting first with KPMG, as an Audit Manager in Singapore and the U.S., serving various public and private clients in the banking & finance and oil & gas industries, and later as a Senior Audit Manager with Rothstein Kass for clients in the alternative investment sector.

Eugene is currently an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in California. Eugene also holds the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Chartered Accountant (CA) designation from the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA). Eugene graduated from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Accountancy.
