Anindya Sarkar is a deep learning research engineer at Apple since January 2018, while also serving as a staff imaging scientist at Ventana Medical Systems since January 2011. Anindya has extensive experience in image analysis and computer vision, having developed efficient algorithms and transitioned projects from prototyping to production-level code. Previous roles include senior imaging scientist and imaging scientist at Ventana Medical Systems, and a research scientist at BioImagene before its acquisition. Anindya’s academic background includes a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara, focusing on multimedia data hiding and steganography, along with an M.E. from the Indian Institute of Science. Additional experiences include a software internship at Google and various teaching and mentoring positions at the University of California.
