David Chafin is an accomplished Principal Scientist at Roche, with over 18 years of experience in various roles including Manager of System Integration, Staff Scientist, and Senior Scientist. In these positions, David has been responsible for setting yearly goals, managing results, and participating in cross-functional planning for innovative products in the tissue pre-analytical area. Prior to Roche, David served as Senior Research Scientist and Director of R&D at Integrated Nano-Technologies, focusing on a novel Biosensor DNA identification technology. Earlier career roles include Research Assistant Professor and Cancer Center Fellow at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where David conducted independent research on DNA structure and function. David holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Iowa and a B.S. in Biochemistry from Purdue University.
