Jim Cotting

Jim Cotting, CPA, has worked in various roles throughout their career. Jim started as a Management Consultant at A.T. Kearney, Inc., where they were part of a team that focused on expanding the consulting practice in Japan. Following that, they joined AT&T Wireless Services, Inc. as a Manager in Finance & Business Planning. In this role, they managed a team of financial analysts and was responsible for developing business plans and financial analyses.

After more than a decade at AT&T, Jim moved on to W.W. Grainger, Inc., where they held multiple roles, including Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis. Jim led a team of financial analysts, establishing valuable internal customer relationships and providing quantitative analyses and financial modeling to support the Sales and Supply Chain Leadership Teams. Additionally, they also led the strategic sourcing and procurement team, managing the procurement of essential supplies and services for the global operation.

Following their time at W.W. Grainger, Jim joined Sears Holdings Corporation, where they served as a Senior Manager in Procurement and Sourcing. Here, they developed sourcing strategies and solutions, focusing primarily on employee health and welfare benefits and managing outsourced relationships.

After Sears, Jim worked at Lillibridge Healthcare Services as a Director in Procurement and Sourcing. Here, they continued to utilize their expertise in developing and implementing procurement strategies.

Currently, Jim is employed at Ventas, Inc. as the Director of Procurement and Sourcing. In this role, they lead enterprise-wide procurement strategies and sourcing initiatives for the medical office property portfolio. Jim is responsible for cost reduction, managing supplier relationships, and implementing energy supply contracts to exploit opportunities in the forward markets.

Jim Cotting CPA holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance from Marquette University. Jim also has a High School Diploma from Montclair High School in Montclair, NJ, and Barrington High School in Barrington, IL. Additionally, they are a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certified by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
