Phil Smyth-Tyrrell

Phil Smyth-Tyrrell is a strategic commercial leader with a strong background in engineering and business development, currently serving as Group Commercial Director at Venterra Group since December 2023. With extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, including roles such as Head of UK Wind Business at Ramboll and Head of Design and Engineering at ODE, Phil has successfully led multidisciplinary teams, overseen complex engineering projects, and driven operational efficiency. A former Director of Engineering at Cavendish Technical, Phil transformed the startup into a profitable enterprise, and earlier experience includes significant positions at RWE Renewables and Atkins, leading offshore structural engineering initiatives and managing large teams. Phil holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Leeds.
