Wassim Mikati, CFA

Wassim Mikati, CFA, has a diverse work experience in finance and investments. Wassim currently serves as the Head of Finance and Investments at Venterra Group, starting in May 2021.

Prior to their current role, Wassim worked at Morgan Stanley from March 2012 to February 2020. There, they were part of the Equity Solutions Group, reporting to a Managing Director. Their responsibilities included efficiently executing transactions, structuring complex equity derivative transactions, and providing client coverage. Wassim achieved significant accomplishments during their time at Morgan Stanley, including structuring and executing multiple landmark trades with clients worldwide. Wassim also created an Excel VBA tool to automate data analysis and visualization.

From January 2010 to October 2011, Wassim worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch as part of the Strategic Equity Solutions Group. Wassim reported to a Managing Director and specialized in structuring bespoke equity derivatives solutions for clients. Wassim also played a key role in creating and delivering client pitches, as well as conducting transaction modeling and simulations.

Before joining Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Wassim had a role in Leveraged Finance Distribution at Commerzbank AG from May 2005 to August 2008.

Throughout their career, Wassim Mikati has demonstrated expertise in finance, investments, and equity derivatives, successfully executing transactions, structuring complex deals, and providing exceptional client coverage.

Wassim Mikati, CFA, has a strong educational background in the field of finance. Wassim obtained a Masters in Finance from the London Business School in 2009, focusing on Quantitative Finance. Prior to that, Wassim completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Schulich School of Business - York University between 2002 and 2004. Their undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from McGill University.

In addition to their educational achievements, Wassim has also obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification in August 2012 from the CFA Institute.
