Rebecca Newman

Rebecca Newman, MSW, LCSW, serves as the Lead Social Worker at Thomas Jefferson University since January 2017, providing clinical and administrative support to staff clinicians while conducting psychiatric evaluations and ongoing psychotherapy. With a comprehensive background in mental health, Rebecca has held various roles, including Psychiatric Social Worker at Jefferson University's Psychiatry practice and Primary Therapist at The Renfrew Center, specializing in eating disorders. In addition, Rebecca contributes as a member of the Anti-Bias Review Board at Dotdash Meredith and as a freelance and contributing writer focusing on healthcare and mental health topics. Educational credentials include a Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from Oberlin College.
