Cristina Acosta

Cristina Acosta, Ed.D, MPPA, currently serves as the Foster Youth Services Coordinator at the Ventura County Office of Education, a position held since May 2023. Prior to this role, Cristina worked as the Scholarship Director at the Ventura County Community Foundation from August 2019 to April 2023. Previously, as the Family Engagement Services Coordinator at Child Development Resources of Ventura County Inc from October 2017 to July 2019, and as the Youth Policy Advocate and Special Projects Liaison at Casa Pacifica from February 2008 to September 2017, Cristina demonstrated a strong commitment to youth advocacy. Early career experience includes serving as a Bilingual and Special Education Instructional Assistant at Moorpark Unified School District from January 2006 to January 2008. Cristina holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Leadership, Administration, and Policy from Pepperdine University (2015-2019) and a Master's degree in Public Policy & Administration from California Lutheran University (2013-2015).
