Leon de Bono

Managing Director, Industry Development at British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA)

Leon de Bono's work experience includes various roles in the private equity and venture capital industry. Leon started in 2001 as a Senior Sales and Marketing Executive at Caspian Media Ltd. Leon then joined Private Equity News, Dow Jones in 2003, where they held positions such as Product Sales Manager and Director of Product Sales. In 2010, Leon joined the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA), where they served as Director of Commercial Development, Membership Development, and Investor Relations until 2018. From 2018 to 2023, they held the role of Assistant Director General and Director of Membership Services at BVCA. Starting from April 2023, Leon became the Managing Director of Industry Development at BVCA.

Leon de Bono completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in History of Art from UCL from 1995 to 1998. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in History of Art at the Courtauld Institute of Art, U. of London, from 1998 to 1999.
