Matt Marshall

Matt Marshall is the founder and CEO of VentureBeat. Matt was a columnist at the San Jose Mercury News from January 1999 to December 2006, covering news about Silicon Valley venture capitalists and startups. Prior to that, they were the Bonn, Germany correspondent for the Wall Street Journal from May 1995 to May 1999, covering news about German and European finance policy, corporate deals and technology trends.

Matt Marshall has a PhD in Government from Georgetown University and attended the American Embassy School.
