Steven Maarbani

Steven Maarbani has over two decades of experience in the fields of Venture Capital, Private Equity, and the commercialisation of technology companies. Steven began their career in 2003 as a Corporate Lawyer at Freehills, then moved to The Oliver Blue Group in 2004 as In-house Legal Counsel, where they had executive and legal responsibilities. In 2007, they became a Partner at PwC Australia, specialising in Venture Capital and Private Equity, M&A, Alternative Finance and the commercialisation of technology. In 2009, they joined Sydney Angels as a Management Committee Member. In 2016, they founded Maarbani Consulting, a boutique business consultancy firm specialising in Venture Capital, Private Equity and the commercialisation of technology companies. Steven also became an Advisory Board Member at Nexba Beverages, VentureCrowd, Chikarovski & Associates, and Zega Holdings. In 2019, they became an Advisory Board Member at RealTech Ventures, a specialist early stage venture capital fund.

Steven Maarbani received their Master of Laws (LLM) in Corporate Finance from the University of Sydney in 2002, after completing their Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from The College of Law Australia in 1999.
