James Codling founded VentureFounders in 2014 and acts as Managing Director.
Since VentureFounders launched he has led 35 primary investments and 70 follow-on rounds (Series A-C), supporting UK technology businesses throughout their growth journeys.
James has over 20 years’ experience in private equity and venture capital. He began his career at J.P. Morgan in Leveraged Finance before moving to Montagu Private Equity, where he was involved in transactions across a variety of sectors, mostly B2B and B2B2C mid cap, and held directorships in a number of Montagu’s portfolio companies.
James is also the founder of Carmelita, producing international award-winning boutique Argentine wines.
