Fritz Laporte has over 15 years of experience in the finance and healthcare industries. Fritz is currently the Director at Venus Concept, a position they have held since 2014. Prior to that, they were the Co-founder, Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at MAKO Surgical Corp. from 2004 to 2014. In this role, Fritz was responsible for leading the execution of the operations of company with a focus on accountability and achievement of established objectives. Fritz also oversaw all financial issues for filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission and developed compensation plans (cash and equity) for senior leadership, management and employees.

Before MAKO Surgical Corp., Fritz was the CFO / VP of Finance - Stryker Mako Business Unit at Stryker from 2013 to 2014. In this role, Fritz oversaw the post-acquisition integration of the finance, information technology and human resource functions of MAKO into Stryker.

Fritz has a proven track record in successfully leading and managing organizations through challenging times. Fritz has been instrumental in raising millions of dollars in private equity / venture capital financing and played a significant role in the negotiation and closing of a $120 million acquisition and the $1.67 billion sale of MAKO to Stryker. Fritz holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Northeastern University.

Fritz Laporte attended Florida Atlantic University, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting. Fritz also attended South Plantation High School.
