Kyle Smith

Kyle Smith, MSW, LICSW, currently serves as the Hospital CEO at The Sanctuary at the Woodlands Psychiatric Hospital since April 2023. Prior to this role, Kyle was the Hospital Administrator at Unity Psychiatric Care from May 2021 to April 2023. Academic experience includes serving as an Adjunct Professor at the University of North Alabama, teaching courses such as Mental Illness and Social Work Practice. Previous positions include Director of Mental Health Services at Shoals Hospital and Psychiatric Social Worker at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital, where Kyle also held roles such as court liaison and patient advocate. Kyle's early career involved providing psychosocial services as a Medical Social Worker at Kindred Hospice and contributing to various social justice initiatives, supporting survivors of sexual abuse as an Outreach Specialist with Rape Response. Kyle earned a Master of Social Work from Boston College and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of North Alabama.
