Ari Kotler

Ari Kotler is a research analyst at Vera Institute of Justice since August 2022, focusing on issues related to jail incarceration, pretrial detention, probation, electronic monitoring, and the criminalization of poverty. Previous experience includes serving as an administrative assistant for United Academics, with a focus on union communications and member management, and various roles in research and community engagement related to sociology and tenant rights. Ari has also worked in different capacities, including as a gardener and server, and has garnered experience through internships with organizations dedicated to migrant justice and public advocacy. Ari holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Mathematics, and Sociology from the University of Vermont.
