Maria Katarina Rafael is a seasoned professional in the fields of research and data analysis, currently serving as a Senior Research Associate at the Vera Institute of Justice since August 2019. Prior roles at the same organization include Research Associate and Research Analyst positions. Prior to this, Maria worked at the New York Civil Liberties Union from July 2016 to August 2019, where roles included Research Analyst and Data Entry & Quality Review Analyst for the Police Report Card Project. Earlier experience also includes serving as a CEP Court Representative at the Center for Alternative Sentencing and Employment Services (CASES) from June 2015 to June 2016.
