Christina Butler

Christina Butler has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Christina is currently the Director of Clinical Operations at Vera Therapeutics, Inc. starting in April 2022. Prior to their current role, they worked at Gilead Sciences, where they held various positions including Associate Director - Inflammation & Early Phase, Contract Senior Clinical Program Manager, Senior Clinical Program Manager - Oncology, and Clinical Program Manager - Oncology from 2013 to 2021.

Before their time at Gilead Sciences, Christina worked as a Manager of Clinical Research at Nektar Therapeutics from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they served as a Global Studies Manager/Clinical Trial Manager at Genentech from 2009 to 2011.

Christina also has experience at Dainippon Sumitomo Pharma as a Manager of Clinical Development, overseeing pivotal Phase 3 global protocols in Schizophrenia. Christina ensured quality data, monitored timelines and budgets, and worked with CROs and vendors from 2007 to 2009.

Earlier in their career, Christina worked as a Regional Clinical Research Associate II at Emisphere Technologies/PARAGON/PAREXEL from 2003 to 2007. Christina was responsible for conducting Phase I studies in the US and Europe, writing protocols, managing clinical investigative sites, and ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines.

Before entering the pharmaceutical industry, Christina gained experience as a Night Manager at CRATE AND BARREL from 2001 to 2003. Christina also worked as a Study Coordinator at New York Presbyterian Hospital from 2000 to 2003, where they conducted assessments, recruited participants, maintained regulatory documentation, and coordinated communication between different units.

Christina Butler completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. Christina attended this institution from 1994 to 1998. Following this, they furthered their education at Pace University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Counseling with a specialization in Bereavement Counseling. Christina attended Pace University from 1999 to 2001.
