Senior Configuration Management Engineer at Veracity Engineering

Orlanda Burks began their work experience in 1987 as a Senior Service Representative at Dominion Virginia Power, where they managed a team, trained representatives, and evaluated projects. In 1995, they worked as a Construction Codes Technician at Arlington County, coordinating the construction permit issuance process. From 1995 to 1998, they worked at Federal Data Corporation, supporting the prime contractor TRW and developing and evaluating FAA Air Traffic Control facility systems engineering tasks. Starting in 1998, they joined Pragmatics, Inc./Innovative Solutions International (ISI) as a Senior Systems Engineer/Configuration Management Officer, supporting the development of the Wide Area Augmentation System for the FAA. In 2013, Orlanda became the Chief Executive Officer of Order My Steps, LLC, where they actively empower youth. Orlanda'smost recent role is as a Senior Configuration Management Engineer at Veracity Engineering, starting in 2018.

Orlanda Burks attended Rustburg High School from 1978 to 1982, where they studied Mechanical Drafting and Mechanical Drafting CAD/CADD. In 1982, they enrolled at James Madison University, where they attended for one year but did not receive a degree. From 1983 to 1986, Orlanda Burks pursued an Engineer's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Old Dominion University.
