Chris Tyson

Chris Tyson has a wealth of experience in the software and information security industry. Chris is currently working at Veracode as a Sr. Principal Solutions Architect (Pre-Sales Engineer) since March 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Principal Solutions Architect (Pre-Sales Engineer) at Veracode from April 2016 to March 2022.

Before their time at Veracode, Chris worked at Security Compass as a Customer Success Engineer/Senior Sales Engineer from May 2013 to April 2016. At Security Compass, they provided professional services and training to security-conscious companies and worked with their main offering, SD Elements.

From September 2005 to May 2013, Chris worked at Klocwork as a Senior Sales Engineer, focusing on selling static analysis tools and services to enterprises. Chris also had additional responsibilities, including developing a sales model and delivering professional services.

Prior to their time at Klocwork, Chris occupied various roles at IBM, Rational, ObjecTime, Mitel, Mitel Semiconductor, Lockheed Canada, and MEL Defence, accumulating rich experience in software management, development, design, and customer service.

Chris Tyson obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA), Honours degree in Computing And Information Science from the University of Guelph. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Veracode Security Labs Champion Level 3 from Veracode in 2020 and OWASP Top 10 - Injection and OWASP Top 10 - Cross Site Scripting from Badgr in 2018.
