Brett Barton

Brett Barton has extensive experience in the field of information technology and security. Brett currently works as a Principal Engineer in Security Operations and Incident Response at Veralto since August 2023. Prior to this, they served as the IT Security Engineering Director at Amtrak from October 2022 to July 2023. Brett also has worked at Danaher Corporation as a Senior Incident Response Engineer from January 2021 to October 2022, and as a Senior Information Security Engineer from June 2017 to January 2021. Before that, they held positions at X-Rite, including Senior Network Security Engineer from August 2015 to June 2017, Senior Network Engineer from April 2014 to August 2015, and Network Engineer from August 2012 to April 2014. Brett also worked as a Network Administrator at Holland Public Schools from November 2010 to August 2012, an IT Intern at The Empire Company from October 2009 to November 2010, a Systems Administrator at Freedom Christian Schools from September 2007 to September 2010, and a Summer Workstation Technician at Holland Public Schools in the summer of 2009.

Brett Barton completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Networking from Davenport University between 2008 and 2012. Prior to that, they attended Grand Valley State University from 2007 to 2008, pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems. In addition to their academic qualifications, Brett obtained various certifications including Splunk Core Certified User from Splunk, GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) from Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) from Cisco, A+ from CompTIA, and Security+ from CompTIA.
