Juan Wegner currently serves as Chief Financial Officer at Verano Energy since July 2023. Prior to this role, Juan held the position of Project Finance Manager for Latam at Mainstream Renewable Power from August 2021 to July 2023 and worked as Project Finance Manager at EDF Renewables Chile from June 2020 to July 2021. Juan gained experience as Assistant Vice President of Project Finance Latin America at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation between March 2018 and June 2020. Earlier positions include a summer internship at Tabors Caramanis Rudkevich, where Juan developed a gas pipeline model, and a Data Analytics Teaching Assistantship at Dartmouth College, focusing on data modeling and machine learning. Juan has a strong background in management control from Hytech, where responsibilities included performance supervision and investment evaluation, as well as experience in gas trading analysis at Energy Consulting Services. Juan’s educational credentials include a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from Dartmouth College and an Industrial Engineering degree from the University of Buenos Aires.
