Charlie Anderson

Charlie Anderson started their work experience in 2012 as a Summer Placement Student in software engineering at NATS. In 2013, they worked as a Venue Technician at theSpaceUK, where they built and supported a mid-sized Fringe venue. Charlie then joined the University of Bristol Students' Union in 2012 as an Event Technician. In 2014, Charlie worked as a Software Engineer and Technology Intern at YouView TV Limited. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Senior Technician at theSpaceUK, managing a small team and ensuring smooth operations at a mid-sized Edinburgh fringe venue. At YouView TV Limited from 2015 to 2017, Charlie worked as a Cloud Services Engineer, responsible for developing backend systems and overseeing AWS accounts and microservices. In 2017, they joined IDBS as a Site Reliability Engineer, tasked with supporting a secure and highly available live production system. Charlie then moved on to Unai in 2018, serving as both a Lead Software Engineer and later as the Chief Technology Officer until 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Technology Officer at Veratai.

Charlie Anderson completed their education at the University of Bristol from 2011 to 2015, earning a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Computer Science. Before attending university, Charlie also attended Woking College from 2009 to 2011, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned. In addition to their formal education, Charlie obtained an AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate) certification from Amazon Web Services in August 2017.
