Jawad Iqbal, Ph.D., currently serves as a Scientist in Bispecific Tech & Programs, Target Discovery, and Antibody Development at VERAXA Biotech GmbH since March 2022. Iqbal earned a Ph.D. in Immunology from Universität Greifswald, where the dissertation focused on the pathogen-specific antibody response in infective endocarditis and the characterization of antibacterial monoclonal antibodies. Prior experience includes a research assistant role at the University of Geneva involving the CCR4-Not complex and its effects on proteasome assembly and No-go decay, as well as a lecturer position at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, where curriculum design and lecture delivery were key responsibilities. Educational credentials also include an MS in Microbiology from Quaid-i-Azam University and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Government College University, Lahore.
