Krista McLellan began their work experience in 2007 as an External Relations Assistant at Dalhousie University, where they provided administrative assistance, event planning, and marketing support. Krista also played a key role in planning and executing the Dalhousie-Aon Risk Tournament. In 2008, they worked as a Marketing and Communications Assistant at Dalhousie University's Career Service Centre, where they assisted with event planning and created marketing materials. Krista then transitioned to a role as an Events and Promotions Assistant at Student Services.
In 2010, Krista worked briefly as an Administrative Assistant for the Government of Nova Scotia. In 2012, they joined Imperial Oil as a Site Training Coordinator, where they coordinated training sessions and managed travel arrangements. Krista also worked as a Manager of Market Development at Rx Security, impacting sales and marketing through securing and executing new projects and managing partnerships.
Since 2016, Krista has been with VERB Interactive, where they started as a Copy and Social Writer and later became a Senior Content Strategist and Copywriter. As of February 2021, they currently hold the position of Digital Content Strategy Lead.
Krista McLellan obtained a Bachelor of Commerce Co-op degree in Marketing Management from Dalhousie University from 2005 to 2009. Krista also achieved a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Marketing from the same university during the same time period. Additionally, they received an Email Marketing Certification from HubSpot in 2020.
