Nicholas Cook has a diverse work experience, beginning with their role as an Actor in the National Broadway Tour of The King & I in 2005. In 2011, they took a role as a Valet at Virginia Hotel with Cape Resorts, where they developed an appreciation for manual transmissions, firm handshakes, and packing light. In 2015, they became the Director of Technology Services at Children's Assistive Communication Network, where they created a resource website and database for professionals, training facilities, and AT resource centers, built on Wordpress and managed a monthly newsletter to the community of professionals and families. In 2016, they Co-Founded AAC Live, which was acquired in 2018 and brought AAC services to customers through consultation, device troubleshooting, and training delivered in real-time video sessions. Also in 2016, they took on the role of Digital Marketing Manager at Mocc Socks (Mast/Steiner), where they were responsible for product development, sampling, and overseas manufacturing, as well as digital and social marketing on Facebook, Instagram, and Mailchimp, and managing wholesale partners such as Bonobos and Need Supply Co. Finally, in 2019, they became the Head of People & Culture and took on Partnerships and Marketing roles at Verbal+Visual.
Nicholas Cook attended Emory University from 2011 to 2015.
