Lluís Formiga Fanals

Lluís Formiga Fanals has been working in the ICT field since 2000. From 2000 to 2003, they worked as an ICT Assistant at Frigorificos Unidos S.A. Lluís then moved to Grupo Banco Popular, where they worked as an Assistant from 2003 to 2005. From 2005 to 2011, they worked as a Senior Software Analist and Developer at La Salle BCN. From 2011 to 2014, they were a Postdoc Researcher at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, where they applied Machine Learning and Automatic Optimization techniques to enhance speech synthesis quality. Since 2014, they have been working as an R+D Engineer at VERBIO, where they are the Core Technology Responsible for Intel's Corporation Virtual Sales Assistant. Lluís has also been a Cognitive Principal since 2014.

Lluís Formiga Fanals completed their International Baccaulerate at Bell-lloc del Pla (Girona) from 1996 to 1999. Lluís then earned their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology from Universitat Ramon Llull from 1999 to 2003. Lluís then obtained their Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science from Universitat Ramon Llull from 2003 to 2005. Lastly, they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer and Information Sciences, General from Universitat Ramon Llull from 2005 to 2011. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Building Your Team from LinkedIn in September 2019, Probabilistic Graphical Models from Coursera Verified Certificates in May 2012, and First Certificate in English (FCE) from University of Cambridge in June 1998.
