Heather York

Heather York serves as the VP of Marketing and Government Affairs at Verbit.ai, where responsibilities include developing and executing marketing strategies across education, enterprise, and partnerships verticals, identifying customer needs, creating targeted campaigns, and collaborating with sales and product teams. Previously, Heather led VITAC’s marketing and government affairs, successfully positioning the company as a leader in accessible media services through strategic transitions post-acquisition by Verbit. With a background in accessible technology advocacy and experience at the Coalition of Organizations for Accessible Technology, Heather's efforts contributed significantly to lobbying for legislation that promotes digital captioning. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Pittsburgh and studies at Penn State University.
