Dave Spitzer

Vice President of Product Development at VerdeGo Aero

Dave Spitzer has a long and varied career in the aviation and motorsports industries. Dave began their career in 1992 as a Design Engineer at Moller International, Inc., where they led the design of an electric-powered, vertical takeoff and landing, flying surveillance robot (UAV). Dave then moved to Cadillac in 1994, where they held various roles such as Product Manager - Marketing, Program Manager, GM Racing Cadillac CTS-V race program, Chassis Manager, Cadillac Le Mans Prototype, Engine Manager, Cadillac Le Mans Prototype, and Engine Project Engineer, Indy Racing League. In 2008, Dave became Vice President of Competition at Grand-Am Road Racing (Div. of NASCAR). In 2012, they founded Spitzer Enterprises LLC, where they advised small and startup businesses. In 2013, they became President of Coastal Realty Holdings, where they used self-directed IRA and personal after-tax funds to buy and hold rental properties in Daytona Beach and surrounding areas. Dave also served as Staff Research Engineer - Center for Motorsports Engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Director of Business Development for Aquasolve Ventures, LLC, and Project Manager at Eagle Flight Research Center. In 2020, Dave became Vice President of Product Development at VerdeGo Aero, where they are leveraging VerdeGo Aero's expertise in hybrid-electric propulsion and battery-electric aircraft systems.

Dave Spitzer attained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University between 1988 and 1992. Dave then went on to receive a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from Walsh College between 2006 and 2009.
