Marc Schmid

Marc Schmid has extensive work experience in the field of sound engineering and technical production for the entertainment industry. Marc began their career in 2003 as a freelance sound engineer at 24/7 Medienproduktion, Stage Entertainment. In 2004, they joined Stage Entertainment as a Tontechniker, where they worked until 2008. During their time at Stage Entertainment, they gained valuable experience in sound engineering. In 2008, Marc joined Vereinigte Bühnen Wien GmbH as a Sound Engineer, and later assumed the role of Head of Sound Raimund Theater in October 2020. Throughout their career, Marc has demonstrated a strong commitment to delivering high-quality sound and technical production in the entertainment field.

Marc Schmid completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Innovative Music Technologies at London Metropolitan University in 2019. Prior to that, they attended SAE College in 2004, where they completed an Audio Diploma Course and received a Basic Media Certificate. In addition to their formal education, Marc Schmid has obtained several certifications, including Dante Level 1 and Dante Level 2 from Audinate in 2020. Marc also obtained a certification in Digitale Audiotechnik und Netzwerktechnik from Österreichische Theatertechnische Gesellschaft in 2018, Sachkunde für Anschlagmittel in der Veranstaltungstechnik from APEX Riggingschule in 2018, Sicherheitsvertrauensperson Ausbildung from Arbeiterkammer Wien in 2015, and Grundkurs Rigging und PSA from Deutsche Event Akademie GmbH in 2012.
