Vereniging EMDR Nederland
Rene van Stralen has extensive experience in the legal and social work fields, currently serving as a tenant at Pieters Advocaten since November 1997 and as Secretary of the Complaints Committee for EMDR Therapists at Vereniging EMDR Nederland since April 2003. Prior experience includes roles as a jurist and team leader at Bureau voor Rechtshulp Amsterdam from April 1990 to October 1997, and as a group leader in crisis shelter for children at Orthopedisch Project Leefeenheden from December 1985 to June 1988. Earlier positions include working as a social worker and researcher at the Raad voor de Kinderbescherming and as a caretaker for the elderly at SABU - huis. Rene van Stralen's educational background includes a law degree from Utrecht University, obtained between 1985 and 1990, supplemented by earlier studies at De Nijenburgh and Klop.

De Vereniging EMDR Nederland telt meer dan 6500 leden en is daarmee een van de grotere psychotherapieverenigingen in Nederland. De doelstellingen van de Vereniging zijn: ■ het bevorderen van de toepassing en de ontwikkeling van EMDR in Nederland; ■ kwaliteitsbewaking van de toepassing van EMDR; ■ het stimuleren van wetenschappelijk onderzoek.
