Danielle van Oijen

Danielle van Oijen is an experienced professional in forestry and environmental conservation, currently serving as the Senior Programme Coordinator for Forests at Milieudefensie since May 2017. Previous roles include research and consultancy at Van Oijen Research & Campaigns, where assignments focused on forest and nature protection, and a Conservation Officer International position at Vogelbescherming Nederland. Notable work as a Forest Campaigner at Greenpeace involved campaigns against deforestation in the Congo Basin. Danielle's educational background includes an MSc in Forestry and Nature Conservation from Wageningen University & Research and various certificates in environmental justice and law.
