Ernst-Jan Kuiper is a highly experienced climate scientist, currently serving as a Senior Inhoudelijk Medewerker Klimaatwetenschap at Milieudefensie since June 2022 and engaging in pivotal research related to the climate case against Shell. As the owner of Kuiper Climate Science since 2020, Ernst-Jan provides lectures, writes articles, and conducts courses on climate change and policy. Previous roles include Climate Campaigner and Analyst at BankTrack (2020-2022), and extensive research positions at Universiteit Utrecht, focusing on ice sheet dynamics for a PhD and postdoc research. Early experiences include an internship at KNMI, where modeling bromine chemistry's effects on ozone was a key project, along with tutoring high school students in math, physics, and chemistry. Ernst-Jan holds a Master's degree in Meteorology, Physical Oceanography, and Climate, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Earth Sciences from Utrecht University.
